The weekend of September 28th and 29th saw the Florinas Golf course transformed into an arena of intense competition, hosting the first international Pitch&Putt tournament in Sardinia, the Sardinia International Pitch&Putt. A splendid event that gathered high-level players, ready to compete over 54 holes in a medal format: 36 holes played on Saturday and the final decisive 18 on Sunday.
Amid the applause of the spectators, Giuseppe Pittui was crowned champion, securing the top spot with 175 strokes. Right behind him, Salvatore Virdis took second place, followed by Marco Mura in third. Outstanding performances also came from Antonio Columbano, who finished fourth, and Daniele Crippa, who secured fifth place.
The women’s competition was equally thrilling, with Monica Filippella claiming the title of best female player with 210 strokes. In the senior category, the prize went to Antonio Giuseppe Bayslak, who delivered an impeccable performance with 186 strokes. Finally, in the Master category, Celestino Cresci shone bright, winning with 188 strokes.
The tournament was not just a high-level sporting challenge but also a great success, thanks to flawless organization and a strong turnout from local players. A special thanks goes to the sponsors who made this event possible, supporting the sport and contributing to its success.
We now look forward to next September, when Florinas Golf will host the Italian Open, promising another edition full of excitement and top-level competition. We’ll see you there!
